You’re invited to a Meet & Greet hosted by Tim Burns & Rebecca Ho for Branda Lin who is running for Irvine Mayor.
Branda’s parents immigrated from South Korea in the 1970’s and moved to Irvine where Branda was born and raised. Branda attended every level of public school in Irvine – El Camino, Venado, Irvine HS, the University of California, Irvine, with a B.A. in music performance and political science. Professionally, Branda has worked as a litigation paralegal for over 15 years at top firms in NYC and Orange County. Branda has also served our city as a Community Services Commissioner, overseeing Irvine’s parks, recreation, and community programs. and co-founded Irvine Watchdog, a non-profit organization dedicated to spotlighting city issues and holding elected leaders accountable.
Branda is married and a proud mother to two children who play in the same parks she enjoyed as a child. She has a multi-cultural family with their Taiwanese and Korean heritage reflecting the well-integrated diversity of our city. shaped by Irvine and all it has to offer. Branda has seen firsthand the amazing growth of our city and its transformation into one of the best places to live in America.
Branda will focus on the priorities of our community and lead with integrity. In the last four years, she has advocated for numerous community groups, provided a platform to share their issues, and helped them navigate our municipal government, regardless of her personal position because she believes everybody should be heard. Branda exemplifies issue-focused leadership and shared community values in a nonpartisan manner.
You’re invited to learn more about Branda and her positions and views on crafting a smart and thoughtful vision that will make the city of Irvine a leader in education, climate change, healthcare, infrastructure and other issues that are important to all of us.
