June 25, 2019 - Branda requested fiscal transparency from the Irvine Community Land Trust. The ICLT was not providing line item details as they had done in the past. This made it difficult to know where and how their money was being spent.

May 24, 2022 - Branda challenged the City Council's decision to appointment 15 members to the newly created Great Park Task Force. She expressed concerns about the Task Force being politicized.

June 11, 2019 - Branda advocated for more shade structures in our playgrounds and parks using available capital improvement funds.

Branda founded the Smiles Project Irvine during COVID-19. It was a community card-making project for homebound seniors, healthcare workers, and Irvine's public school teachers. It caught the attention of the local news channel!
